Want to grow your hair? Look no further...

Firstly, I am so sorry I have been away from blogging recently! I have been working three weeks straight and now I finally have a day off but I am on holiday  but I do have a few posts scheduled! So let's get started...

Would you like to know how I grew my hair from shoulder length to passed my ribs in less than a year? Well keep on reading!

So a bit about my hair... I have always had long hair! I don't know why but my mum would always make sure my hair was long. Growing up she would use these hair oils that I used to hate as she would drown my hair in it and it just wouldn't feel right or I would get ticklish! However as I got older I really appreciated the fact she did all this as my hair was passed my hips!

I like dying my hair and experimenting with colours. I have had it bleached, highlighted, gone to black and then back again to brown and even blonde! One day I wanted ombré hair so that's what I got done. As you can see on top, the first picture in the collage is of my ombré hair. After a few months I decided to go all in one shade and have some highlights and that's when it went all wrong. I went to the hairdresser who dyed my hair brown & added highlights however because the bottom section of the hair was ombré and there was a block gradient colour, that end did not turn out as well as the top half of my head. So this lead the hairdresser chopping all my hair off about 8 inches! I couldn't believe how short my hair was when I came home, even with straightening it my hair was just touching my shoulders. I hate my hair not being passed my chest! (Second picture in the collage) Now since then I have not been to a salon and I don't think I ever want to! It totally has put me off! Rant over! So my hair was shoulder length and I was dying for it to grow back again! The final picture in the collage is my hair now.

First things first. Genetics may play a part in this however I feel like this weekly hair mask has really helped me...

Mix castor oil with extra Virgin coconut oil
Add a few drops of Almond oil
A few drops of peppermint essential oil
A few drops of rosemary essential oil

(all can be purchased from eBay)

Bare in mind essential oils are strong hence only add a few drops and don't use it on their own.

I have been using this mixture religiously since my hair cut and this definitely has helped my hair grow! I leave it on over night and rinse it in the morning. It makes my hair really shiny as well as strong. I never really straighten or curl my hair as I like to keep the heat away except for blow drying as I'm always in a rush! I haven't noticed any split ends considering I still haven't had a hair cut!

You can also use KTC jasmine oil on its own and leave it on over night, as well as coconut oil if you don't like mixing or don't have the time to mix all the oils!

I hope this has helped some of you! Let me know if you have any questions!
